Agios Ioannis Malountas is a beautiful village built at approximately 18 kilometres away from the capital city of Cyprus, Lefkosia. It is a village which reveals to visitors a variety of images, including images of wild vegetation, whereas it has many sights to offer.

To visit the church of Agios Ioannis Prodromos, a 19th century building inside of which there is an ancient 16th century icon of Christ, while its exterior is adorned by a built-in sculpture of a lion’s head. Additionally, do not fail to stroll around the community of Agios Ioannis Malountas to ‘discover’ its dominating bridge, the distinctive water mill, the marl and clay made sculptures, as well as the water tunnels called ‘lagoumia’ which the residents dug with great effort and labour several years ago. Finally, make sure you go on a walk along the Nature Trail to admire the beauty of its natural scenery.
