The beautiful village of Akaki is located in the western part of the central plain, approximately 22 km west of the capital city.

Strolling around the village you will get to see areas of natural beauty such as the well-known river, locations with age-long olive trees, cultivated pieces of land, as well as several attractions including the water dam, old watermills and olive-mills, stony fountains and bridges, the Tower of the Franks, the Mosque and mansions of folk architecture. Finally, it is worth knowing that in Akaki there is an imposing monument consisting of the bust of Archbishop Makarios III and an exquisite mosaic representation.
