Kato Moni is an amphitheatrically built village located in a fertile plain at a distance of approximately 40 kilometres from the capital city. In Kato Moni you will encounter ‘images’ that will ‘travel’ you to the life of the past through traditional neighbourhoods and the old flour mill, whereas you will also encounter ‘images’ which depict the modernisation of the village through modern architecture houses and other buildings housing various services.

    To stroll around Kato Moni to admire the dominating church of Metamorphosis Soteros, the popular architecture houses in the old neighbourhoods, the old fountain and the coffee shop of the village which constitutes a meeting point for the residents of the community. What is more, you should not fail to visit the small chapel of Saints Iliofotes, which is built at a beautiful location on the hill of Mount ‘Koroni’, while you should also remember to search for the distinctive flour mill of Kato Moni. Also worth visiting is the location ‘Gypsia’, where there are plaster rocks, as well as the remains of furnaces which were used for processing these rocks.
