Continuing your stroll around Pyrga, do not forget to look for the gothic art buildings, the chapel of Agia Aekaterini, a 15th century Basilica, as well as the deserted monastery of Panagia Stazousa which was possibly built in the 14th century. Visitors should also remember to visit one of the most beautiful monasteries of Cyprus, the Holy Monastery of Stavrovouni, where a piece of the relics of Jesus Christ’s Holy Cross is preserved. It is worth mentioning that the Monastery of the Holy Cross is inaccessible to women.
